Category 5 heading our way. *gulp* Not sure what to expect here. It seems like it should slow a little until it gets here, but that's still going to be strong. My in-laws are coming to stay with us, I think--along with their dog and bird. Going to be an interesting weekend between this, the two papers I have to write, 6 econ problems to do and books to read. Will keep you posted.

Argh! Well, my first week deceived me into thinking that it would be possible to not only keep up but get ahead a tiny bit each week. HA!! Lesson learned. ALso learned: no matter how small a book is, I always underestimate the time it will take to read. 120 pages--I should be able to kill that in two hours, right? Nope, try six.

Also learned this week: the sight of a snake in your path at 7 a.m. while barely awake will definitely wake you up the rest of the way. Not my idea of a fun way to start the morning. Thank God it was dead, I think. It didn't move, but I didn't stick around long enough to find out. *shiver* I HATE snakes.

Good thing: having a dr. in your class. We've got an MD who's taking class with us, and she calls in prescriptions if we need them. I'm going to love Dr. Nora! ;) Now I've just got to figure out my new insurance so she can call it in. Hmm, bet she's non-network so it probably doesn't matter.

Okay, there's an econ book calling my name. So is bed...decisions, decisions.

This is so cool... Google has taken images from Nasa and applied it to their Google Maps application.

I can't believe the detail of the lunar landing sights.... what's even more amazing is that these photos have confirmed the rumors that have been circulating through the ages. . . . (zoom in all the way).

I hate writing headlines for my stories, so I know it's not that easy or fun, but this is one of those that just begs to be shared:
